The passion for the quest of knowledge and service to humanity goes back to the grandfather of Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Qarshi, who was an eminent scholar who participated in the Khilafat Movement and wrote many prominent books.

Father of Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Qarhsi, Shifa-ul-mulk Hakeem Mohammad Hassan Qarshi (late) authored (32) books and was an active member of Pakistan and Kashmir Freedom Movements.

Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Qarshi carried the same vision and wrote research books on Bio Fuel and is the editor of a monthly health journal Qaumi Sehat.

Furthermore, Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Qarshi is also actively involved in nature conservation as President of WWF Pakistan, in the areas of traditional healthcare as President Pakistan Tibbi Council that is representative body of 50,000 Hakeem throughout Pakistan, President P.T.M.A (Pakistan Tibbi Pharmaceutical Manufacture Association), Chairman Qarshi Foundation, Chairman Board of Trustees Qarshi University, Chief Executive Qarshi Industries (Pvt) Ltd., and Qarshi Research International which is main source of funds for Qarshi Foundation and Qarshi University.

This passion is carried out by Dr. Misbah Iqbal Qarshi, a devotee to the cause of social welfare, health and education. She is presently member Board of Trustee Qarshi Foundation, member Board of Governors Qarshi University, Director and Head of Marketing Qarshi Industries (Pvt) Ltd.

Qarshi University is a non-profit flagship project of Qarshi Foundation. It is recognized by HEC (Higher Education Commission) and Chartered by Govt. of the Punjab.
