Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari is a DSc. in Plant Molecular Systematics from Kyoto University Japan and a Post Doc. From Japan International Research Center for Agriculture sciences. Previously Prof. Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari was heading department of Biotechnology and Bio informatics at Qauaid e azam university Islamabad. Previously he has also served as Vice Chancellor Kohat University of Science and Technology and Vice Chancellor University of Science and Technology Bannu. In 2015 for his outstanding personal commitment to ethically responsible research and responsible science, he was declared winner of 2015 UNESCO Avicenna prize for ethics in science. In recognition of his services, he was awarded best university teacher award by HEC in 2011 and “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz” by government of Pakistan in the same year. Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari is a STA and JIRCAS fellow and fellow to State Department Institute of International Education Leadership program, USA. Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari is an elected fellow and Secretary General of Pakistan Academy of Sciences. He has published 9 international books and 243 impact factor articles published in international journals. With an impact factor of 355 and more than 4930 citations, he is one of the leading researcher of Pakistan recognized internationally. As of 2017, sequence data of 389 different genes have been submitted to NCBI because of his research.
