Ms. Ramsha Rasheed is a Lecturer in Human Nutrition and Dietetics with a strong academic
background and practical experience in clinical nutrition and research. She holds an M.Phil. in
Food and Nutrition from the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, and
is a Bronze Medalist in B.S. (Hons.) Nutrition and Dietetics.
She has gained hands-on clinical experience through structured rotations and internships at
leading tertiary care hospitals, including Mayo Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Children
Hospital Lahore, and FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry. During these rotations, she worked
with patients suffering from diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, renal
conditions, endocrine disorders, and other nutrition-related health problems, and assisted in
dietary management, patient counseling, and enteral and parenteral nutrition support. Her
research interests include nutritional status assessment and community-based nutrition studies
with a focus on public health outcomes. She has conducted experimental research involving
animal models, focusing on the hepatoprotective potential of plant-based products and the
evaluation of bioactive compounds for their health benefits. In addition to teaching and research,
she actively participates in nutrition education, student mentoring, and public health awareness
initiatives aimed at promoting healthy dietary practices and disease prevention.
