Qarshi University is an emergent general university offering a wide range of market-driven programs at the undergraduate level. It is located opposite to Izmir Town and close to Bahria Town, DHA EME, Jublee Town, and Park View in the Chung area on the Canal Bank Road. We focus on undergraduate education and work hard to produce highly skilled well-rounded employable graduates through academic rigor, experiential learning, personal attention, and character building. The experiential and skills-based learning is imparted by our highly qualified and experienced faculty through close liaison with the relevant industry, hands-on projects and lab work, internships, and mandatory content on data science and generative AI across the curricula of all degree programs. Due to excellent student-to-teacher ratio, we pay personal attention to our students and try to nourish their lifelong learning, critical thinking, innovative, and entrepreneurial skills.
The university currently offers 17 undergraduate degree programs in the areas of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Eastern Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy (DPT), Business Administration, Business and Information Technology,
Business Analytics, Clinical Psychology with Counseling, Economics with Sociology and Political Science, Biotechnology, Biotechnology with minor in Health Informatics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, and Food Science and Technology. The Computer Science and Software Engineering programs also offer specializations in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Information Technology. The curricula of all of our programs are of international standards and in line with the recommendations of the HEC.Soon we plan to start programs in Pharmacy (Pharm.D), Nursing, and Humanities.
The programs in Eastern Medicine and Computer Science are accredited by Pakistan Higher Education Commission’s (HEC’s) National Council for Tibb (NCT) and National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC). The Software Engineering program was also initiated after the approval of NCEAC. The NOC for the DPT program has also been received from the Allied Health Sciences Professional Council. The Eastern Medicine students receive faculty-supervised clinical training in the Indus hospital during their studies and its graduates are offered guaranteed paid house jobs. In line with HEC’s Undergraduate Policy 2023, the university also encourages students to do minors in other disciplines. For example, a student in almost any program can do a minor in any of the following areas: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Marketing, and Management. Our fee structure is compatible with the other universities in the vicinity and we offer generous merit- and need-based scholarships.
Our purpose-built campus has state-of-the-art laboratories, infrastructure, cafeteria, and sports facilities. We hone the communication, networking, and leadership skills of our students through a range of student societies run by the elected office bearers under the supervision of teachers. These societies offer a wide range of extra- and co-curricular activities to groom students, such as regular seminars, recreational day trips, annual sports, arts and quiz competitions, qawwali nights, and movie nights. We also arrange alumni get-togethers, careers fairs, and career counseling sessions to assist our students in job placement, internships, and community service opportunities.
